After I had everything ready and loaded for school this morning, Maddie asked me to put some medicine on her "bites." When I looked at her legs and feet, they were covered with a rash. She hasn't felt real well all weekend, but she really didn't have much of a fever (just pretty low-grade)... just a headache all weekend that was starting to worry me. When I saw the rash, I knew the dr. appt. couldn't wait until this afternoon. Kenzie had also been complaining about her ear hurting when she (or anyone else) touched it. So we went to school to get things ready for a sub and grab Maddie's work. We headed to Waco to see the dr. She was saying her neck hurt too and was really stiff not wanting to move it too much. He asked her if her throat hurt, but she said it didn't. He was amazed at how bad it looked! The nurse did a strep test that usually takes 5 min., but hers turned positive after 45 seconds! He wasn't sure about the rash because it didn't look like a typical strep rash, and he had 2 other drs. look at it... they also couldn't believe how bad her throat looked and it wasn't hurting her. We will wait and see about the rash. We are hoping it is just because of the strep and will go away soon. Kenzie also had an outer ear infection. Fun day!
After we got their prescriptions, we went to Clifton to visit Nonnie and Pa. Nonnie was at work so we visited her school for a little while. It was fun to see the people there... hopefully we didn't get anyone sick!
After we left the school, we went to see Pa and his new baby goats...

Those baby goats are cute until you have to get up early to bottle feed 3 of them before you leave for work! There are 2 little girls who are even cuter than baby goats though!
I can't believe her throat was so bad and no pain - hope she's better! WAIT. Does this ruin her 'perfect attendance'???
Agree with Nonnie on the cute girls and cute goats! I'm not jealous at all of early morning feedings...Nonnie, do you think Hollie would have been up feeding those when were in HS??!! :) I know how she loves the mornings!
Another post soon of her illness...it has been ongoing! But no, it hasn't affected her perfect attendance yet. She was at school for part of the day (30 minutes!) before we went to the dr. It has been a struggle though to make it. I should have just bit the bullet and kept her home!
Did we even have a barn when I was in high school? Oh yea, I remember it vaguely! :)
HAHAHA! exactly:)
