Kenzie's Pre-K trip to the Zoo

Ft. Worth Zoo~April 30, 2010

Christen and Kenzie=BFFs! These girls are so sweet together!

Kenzie complained about her throat hurting first thing in the morning...she said her throat was cracked and it hurt to drink her strawberry milk. I didn't think much about it. So, off to school we went. I met the bus at the zoo when it opened at 10. Off we went...no mention of not feeling well. About 45 minutes into the zoo, Kenzie started being VERY whiny and said her head was hurting. We met back for lunch at 11 so I made the HIKE to the car to get some Children's Tylenol...you would think they would sell that at the gift shop. By the time I got back, she was burning up!! I didn't have a thermometer with me, but I knew she was running a fever. We left the zoo and went to the dr. in Waco. She was crashed before we even got back to I35!

Sure enough, the nurse said she was VERY positive for Strep!! It hit her SO fast...but it had been going around her class. So, poor baby didn't get to enjoy her field trip! :o(

Bunco~White Trash

Lindsay hosted the April Bunco at her house...it was a BLAST!! We laughed so hard all night! My sides were literally hurting when I got home...

Melinda and I thought we were dressed up pretty well for the evening...not so much!

I wish I could post individual pics of everyone, but that might cause bodily harm to be inflicted on me! We put the TAME people in the front. Let's just say...the ice cream man will never be the same!

Maddie's Field Trip to the Ballpark

Yesterday I went on the 2nd grade field trip to the Ballpark in Arlington with Maddie. It was a really neat field trip...we got to see lots of behind the scenes places. Our tour guide was full of baseball information!

Our tour guide was so nice... while we were eating lunch, he said he noticed I was taking pictures all day but wasn't in them. So he offered to take a picture for me...HOW SWEET!! Most men would never think to ask that! And, he took 2 pictures...vertical and horizontal! LOVED it!

Maddie and I spent the rest of the afternoon running around Arlington and Ft. Worth shopping. It was a fun afternoon! We ended the day with some ice cream and went home. :o)

Lunch with Friends

This past Saturday I met up with the Clifton girls for lunch at Chuy's. We have been trying to get together at least once a year. It is so fun seeing them and catching up!! It is awesome having these friends I have known all my life...we grew up together and share so many memories!
