43 Rollie Pollies

On Sunday afternoon, we enjoyed the beautiful weather outside. Maddie loves to find and play with Rollie Pollies. She ended up finding 43 of them!!
She put them in a chalk square and can you imagine...they didn't stay!
My girls playing with bugs...
Kenzie won't pick them up... she just points them out for Maddie

Happy Birthday to Me!!

Just can't get good photographers these days...

Maddie took this picture after we got home from dinner.

Then, Kenzie wanted her turn...

We had to follow the camera to get in the pictures she took... I spared you from having to look at the ones of the carpet, walls, ceiling and feet!

She almost got us!!

I had a great birthday!! (when I wasn't thinking about my age!) We went to Fresco's in Burleson for dinner. It is one of our new favorite places.

Fun Run--Struttin' for Supplies 3/28

The 3rd Annual Fun Run--Struttin' for Supplies Fundraiser
The kids raise money to provide boxed school supplies for the following year. It is so nice (as a parent and a teacher) having the school supplies pre-purchased and ready to go on the first day of school.
The weather had been so nice all week long, but on the day we have an outside activity, it was misty and cold!! Maddie insisted on wearing these shorts and a tank top even though I told her it was going to be cold.
Thank goodness Mommy came to school prepared! It didn't take her long to change her mind about her outfit!
Audrey, Hallie and Maddie

Our fearless leader doing his part to dry off the slide!

Maddie was not thrilled about taking off her socks and shoes and walking on the wet grass. After I finally convinced her it was ok, we made it to the obstacle course... too bad that was as far as we got! After she saw the wet grass and dirt already on it, she would not get on it. We ended up just going back inside. Such a girly girl!!

When the 4th graders went out, it was still cool but not wet. It was much better than first thing in the morning. Mrs. York, Mrs. Batch and I had a blast going down the slide with the kids...I could definitely feel it by the next morning though!!

Easter Bunny goodies!!

Build-A-Bear bunnies of course!! Now we have to make another trip to the store!

and Hannah Montana beach towels...

Sleepyhead...can you tell she just woke up?

Lizzie wanted in on the action...

I know this is sad... when Maddie saw the little green BAB jogging suit, she said, "Look Mom, the one you wanted!"

Easter at Nonnie and Pa's house

Easter gifts...

Love the new PJs...had to put them on right away!

Happy Birthday Nonnie and Popsey!!

To celebrate Nonnie (3/16) and Pa's (3/19) birthdays, we met them in Waco at Texas Roadhouse. It was a good time...and good food!

Dinosaur World

On Friday, after the haircuts, we headed to Glen Rose to see some dinosuars. It was fun and the weather was BEAUTIFUL!!!

Haircuts...

Before...
After...

This wasn't my idea... I took her in for bangs and a little off the length. I wasn't crazy about the idea of bangs, but she doesn't like to wear it up and it is always hanging in her face. Lisa cut 3 inches off the back, and we thought that was good... BUT Kenzie started crying because she wanted it short like Maddie's. So, here is the result... it looks really cute and I like it much more than I thought I would!!

Maddie's isn't much of a change...just a little trim.
