Big Girl Bed!!

We converted Kenzie's crib to a daybed this morning. The girls thought it was just the neatest thing...anything new! Kenzie did great a naptime today. She just laid down and went to sleep as usual. After their bath tonight, they were back in there playing. Kenzie was sharing her pacifiers with Maddie. When I got out the camera, Maddie had to pose for a picture. She is such a ham!

We never had to convert it with Maddie. She never slept in it...as a daybed or a crib!

Kenzie went right to bed tonight and is sleeping soundly! (So did Maddie--in our bed!)

We had to keep her "wusic" (music) in there with her. She has to turn it on as soon as she lays down, and it has to be on a certain setting. She likes it to play music and for the bubbles to be going.

On Saturday, we went to Burleson for Kole's 1st birthday party. It was fun getting to see everyone 2 days in a row...that doesn't happen very often. Maddie and Caleb had fun playing together and with the frog they found!

Maddie made Caleb 3 cards. I wanted her to make him a birthday card, but she made 2 "love" cards. She couldn't write "Happy Birthday" on the "love" cards so she had to make a 3rd one.

Uncle Wendall was trying to rest while Maddie and Kenzie showered him with water balloons (empty ones).


We went to Comanche on Friday for Caleb's birthday party. It was at Uncle Wendall and Aunt Mary's house. We got there early so we could visit and the girls could play longer. Maddie stayed in the pool for way too long, but I was so proud of her swimming. She was going down the slide and swimming to the side by herself. She was all over that pool. Kenzie, on the other hand, was in and out the whole time! They both had a blast!!

Mary and I took Maddie, Kenzie, Brent and Emily to Chuck E. Cheese's today. Ashley was at church camp so she missed out on the fun.

Maddie and Brent have been missing each other this summer! They had fun playing together today. Kenzie was having a blast feeding those machines that money! She wasn't as interested in what the ride did as she was in that cup of money. She was just putting in one token after another...as soon as the ride stopped she had her next token ready! She was so proud of her own little cup to carry around like the big kids. :o)

On Tuesdays, they have a program at the library for kids. Yesterday the Critter Man was there with some of his critters! He had a baby crocodile (I think that is what it was), a huge toad, a tortoise, a parrot, some big strange lizards and this snake...maybe a few others too. The kids loved seeing all those strange creatures.

The last day of camp, they all went to Splash Station. We didn't know until the last minute if they would be able to go or not because of the weather, but it ended up clearing off. It had rained all morning, but the sun was out when we got there. Kenzie and I joined them so she could have fun too (mainly because I was nervous about Maddie being there without me!).

10th Anniversary!

On Thursday, June 14th, Dustin and I celebrated 10 years of marriage. Thursday was filled with busy schedules, but on Saturday we took time out just for us. We went out to eat at Joe T. Garcia's and to see a movie...Ocean's 13. That is the first dinner and a movie together since we moved from Clifton 2 summers ago (sad, I know!). We are also planning a trip to Cancun in July to celebrate 10 years!!! We have so much to show for our 10 years together...most importantly, 2 beautiful little girls! We are so blessed to have each other and our wonderful little life.

Jaxon came over to play this morning while Melinda went to the doctor. She is doing great, and we are so excited about the new baby. I am not sure about having to wait until December to find out if it is a girl or a boy...we are missing out on some good shopping!
