7:30 AM is just too early to be sitting on an eagle's lap! Kenzie was not happy about the situation, and she wasn't about to smile.
She cheered up when she got to run in the gym and see the ducks (baby eagles in the eagle's nest). She was all about posing in front of that.

Granny's 75th birthday was on Monday. We celebrated Sunday night at Montana's in Granbury. We had a great time!
It is a sad story...Lizzie destroyed "Mermaid". Kenzie doesn't know, and I just don't know how to tell her. She loved that swimsuit! We had gone swimming on Thursday after school. I had all of our swimsuits laying on the side of my bathtub. Friday morning, Kenzie pushed all the swimsuits into the tub except for hers...she had it proudly displayed. Friday night, Lizzie got it. I was just sick when I found it. Dustin told me it was just a swimsuit...and an old one at that. That is true, but it was a special swimsuit. Ariel will be missed!
She finally let me take another picture, but she kept squinting her eyes. Silly girl!
I took the girls to Clifton today to visit Nonnie and Popsey. Popsey is having surgery on his shoulder Thursday, so he won't be able to do much for a while. The girls took advantage of it today...they went for gator rides and helped haul a little hay on the tractor. I think Kenzie would have been asleep if they would have gone much longer! They can never get enough of the different vehicles Popsey has...they are always asking for a ride!

Maddie decided on Sunday that she wanted to get her ears pierced. The Claire's in Burleson only had one person working, and I was afraid if they did one at a time, she would only get one. We decided to wait until Monday because there were 2 people working from 4:30-5:30. Maddie was so excited about getting her ears pierced. I forgot that we had a faculty meeting after school, and it wasn't over until 5:00. There was no way to make it to Burleson in time. So, I called every Claire's around...the only one with 2 people was in Weatherford. She was pretty nervous after we got there, but she went through with it. I had to hold her on my lap and try to hold her still. She cried at first, but it was better within a couple of minutes. She was so excited and proud of herself by the time we left...proud owners of earrings, a Hannah Montana wig, and a Hannah Montana purse. Whatever it takes!

Last Saturday, Maddie went to cheer camp at the high school. She had a lot of fun. She got a prize for best smile in her group. As long as she got candy, we were happy!
