Cheer & Dance Competition

Maddie had a cheer & dance competition in Garland on Saturday...

They did so good on both performances!! We had some really tough competition in cheer. There were 5 other teams in our division with 8-9 year old girls. We were definitely the youngest group, but did just as good as the others. We got 4th place, but should have had 2nd... we got a 15 pt. deduction for the cradle catches in the pyramid... bummer!! We got 1st place in dance, but we were the only team in our division. Their routine is so cute, and they do an awesome job! Maddie was thrilled because she got a medal for dance!! Normally they give out trophies to all participants, but at this competition, they all received backpacks. Backpacks are definitely more useful, but those girls love trophies... you could BUY a trophy at the store if you wanted one... crazy!! It was a long day, but the girls had a blast!

This is the outfit Kenzie picked to wear to Maddie's cheer practice on Friday night. It wasn't just a normal practice though... ALL the teams were there for a run through for the competition that was on Saturday. So the place was packed!! We got a few comments on the outfit... most of the people that know her weren't too surprised though!

She was SO good!! They didn't give her anything... she just laid there so still the whole time.

I thought it was so cute... she was just laying there with her little feet crossed! You could tell when it hurt a little because her hands would tense up and she would uncross her feet.


She got to pick 3 prizes since she was so good!

Maddie got her 4 molars sealed...

She was very good too... you could tell that thing they put in her mouth was uncomfortable, but she was really good!

My baby is getting so big!!!

Kenzie went to her first class at Miss Tammy's tonight... she was only 9 months old when Maddie started going there. It is hard to believe how big she is now!! She was so proud of herself and did SO good. She was the perfect little student trying to do everything she was told!

They were so funny... sitting on the side being little coaches and cheerleaders!! They were so excited for Kenzie to be starting too. I think Maddie might have been more excited than Kenzie was about going. The first thing she asked was if Kenzie was going to be a Mini Tot... not yet!

Aby went to see her friend's granddaughter that started tonight too... it was just like old times, sitting in the dark in the little gym! :)

Kenzie was so excited after class... she called Nonnie and just kept telling her over and over, "I was so GREAT!" It was too funny!

I finally made the plunge and started Kenzie... I had been putting it off because of the night of the week her class is on. It means that I will now be up there 4 nights in a row... what fun!

Misc Christmas Pics

After Christmas at Granny's house, the girls and I stayed the night at my parents house. Jessica and I left bright and early Saturday morning to go shopping in Dallas. We shopped that morning and then met up with Christal and her mom for lunch. We were at Red Lobster for 4 1/2 hours!!! I bet they were glad to see us leave! :) We had a GREAT time visiting and can't wait to be closer together in just a few weeks. Yeah!!!

My present from Dustin was money so I could pick out a new phone... that is the only reason I paid that much for a phone!!! I still can't believe I did it... usually I just get the phone that is free with an upgrade!

I love my iPhone though!!

And Lizzie with her new toys... She stayed the week of Christmas with my parents since we were going to GWL. We were going to bring her home with us on Christmas Eve, but Dad talked us into leaving her since we wouldn't be home much on Christmas day. We brought her back with us on Saturday. Dad sure was getting used to having her around and spoiling her a little too!!
