Miss Tammy's All-Stars

Miss Tammy's Mini Tots

Go STARS!!

Maddie's team placed 2nd out of 4 teams in their division. One little girl didn't make it to the competition because of a high fever so they had to make some changes. Maddie was moved from another stunt group as the front to take the other girl's place as a side. She did really great making that change on the day of the competition. Jon, Tammy, Ken and Shirley all made a big point of telling her how well she did, and that made Maddie feel really proud! Hopefully everyone will be well for San Antonio in 2 weeks!!

Can we go home yet?
It was a really long day in Garland. We had to leave the house at 6:45 to be in Garland by 8:30. The fog was TERRIBLE!! Maddie performed at 10:05 and then we had to hang around until the awards...and they didn't start until 6:00. It was after 9:00 before we got home.

Such a HAM!!

Before heading to the basketball game on Friday night, Kenzie wanted to pose for some pictures. She has really been into taking pictures lately!
She was running from one spot to another in the living room and posing.

"Take a picture by the punkin picture."
"Now, by Lizzie's toys."
...and there were many other locations around the room!!

The next American Idol...

Oh, how I wish I had my video camera! (Dustin has it at school) I recorded part of her concert on my phone, but I don't know how to get it off of there...and the quality wasn't very good anyway.
She was so funny! I thought she would stop when I got out my camera, but it didn't slow her down at all. She was singing to the songs on her guitar, "Who Said," "Best of Both Worlds," and "This is the Life."
And the boots...Maddie's old rain boots on the wrong feet of course!

Maddie's new teacher...

Maddie's teacher, Mrs. Hubbard, was put on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. She isn't due until April, but she was having issues with her blood pressure. Maddie had 2 different substitutes last week, and started Tuesday in Mrs. Gentry's class. They decided just to split Mrs. Hubbard's class among the other 3 kindergarten classes instead of putting a sub in there for that long. I am really glad they did that for the educational side of it...I know I have been teaching for 10 years, and I don't feel like I am qualified to teach kindergarten by any means! I wouldn't want just anyone filling in. I feel very comfortable with Mrs. Gentry, and I know Maddie will do great with her. I am just sad that her little girlfriends were put into different classes. They still see each other at lunch and recess though. I cried when I took her into her new classroom the first day, but she was fine! I think it was harder on me than on her...I wasn't the only mom crying though!!

BIG GIRL PANTIES!!!

Kenzie has finally decided that she doesn't want to wear diapers or Pull Ups anymore! We have been trying forever to potty train her, and it just hasn't worked. She would tell me, "No, I already went in my diaper." I knew it would have to be when SHE decided it was time! I had pretty much just backed off and let her just wear diapers. The only time she would go on the potty was when she wanted a piece of candy. Last week a new little boy started staying at Bonnie's with her. He won't be 3 until May, but he is already potty trained. I guess Kenzie figured if he could do it, she could too. All last week she did really well, and on Friday(1/18/08)...NO MORE DIAPERS!! She went from almost every time in her diaper to completely wearing panties with only one little accident the entire week. That little stinker... I knew she could do it!!

Snow!!

At school on Friday it started snowing! There were some pretty big flakes, but they didn't last long. The kids were so excited to see it though! I think every grade level ended up taking their kids out for a few minutes to play in it.

Maddie and Brent

Mary took Kenzie skating...Mommy doesn't skate anymore! Kenzie wanted to skate so badly, but I just didn't think that was a good idea since they won't let anyone without skates on the floor. I told her "you don't have any skates." She said, "Well, go buy me some!"
