Perfect Attendance Trip

Kenzie had perfect attendance for the first semester!  For a reward, all the kids with perfect attendance went to Jumpn' Apes.  Kenzie was so excited!!  Of course, big sister was not so much!  Maddie missed 2 days of school in the fall due to strep throat.  She was so upset!  When she had to stay home, she was crying about not wanting to miss school.  When it was time for the field trip, she was really crying!  I felt bad for her because it was not her fault she was sick!

Bunco~Pajama Party

We have such a great time at Bunco!! It is fun to get together for a girls' night! This is our 5th year to play Bunco...some have come and some have gone, but for the majority it is the same group. For our "new" year, we decided to have theme parties. I saw this idea on someone else's blog and loved it! In December, Amber hosted an "Ugly Christmas Sweater" party, but sadly I missed it to take my girls to the Christmas parade. This was my month to host and we had a "Pajama" party complete with breakfast foods for dinner. Most of us also had on our new shirts...Peace Love Bunco (front) and Doesn't play well with others (back). They turned out so cute!

Susan, Lindsay, Amber, me, Misty, Melinda, Meghan, Mary, Amanda (front) and Cathy on the floor!! :0) (Jennifer and Jennifer not pictured but very much part of our group!)

THE BIG WINNERS!!!

Melinda had 5 BUNCOS...3 in the same game!! ...glad I was her partner! Sorry Meghan and Cathy for your bad luck! :^) I had 19 wins out of 21 games. WE ROCKED!! We started as partners at the head table (by random draw) and won the first 10 games!
We are going to start taking pics of our theme parties so there will be more pictures to come!

YeeHaw!! Rockin' Cowgirl!

The second graders have been studying about cowboys so they wrapped it up with a fun afternoon of horses, frito pie, campfire songs and a movie!

Maddie and Mackenzie

I had to take a picture of Maddie's cowgirl in the hallway. This is my 5th year at RVE, and every year I have seen all the second graders' cowgirls and cowboys in the hall...so cute!! It is hard to believe my baby is already a second grader with her little cowgirl hanging on the wall. Sappy, I know!!
