Lizzie escaped from the backyard on the Thursday before school started. We had her on a tie-out since she can get under the fence. She managed to get her collar off and escape. Since she didn't have her collar on, there was no identification on her. The cute little tag with our name and phone number did us no good. Maddie was SO upset about it. We drove around the neighborhood asking everyone we saw if they had seen her. I told Maddie we would put up signs, and that I was sure we would get her back. On Friday morning, the first thing Maddie asked before she was even totally awake was about the posters. We put up "posters" on Friday. When we hadn't heard anything by Sunday, I was sure we would never get her back. Tuesday (8/28) afternoon I received a phone call from a lady who lives at the bottom of our subdivision. They had picked up Lizzie on Thursday and just didn't see our signs. The girls were so excited to get her back! We are so thankful for the family that took care of her. They had bought her a new collar and some toys. They were so nice!
