Maddie and Brent at school Monday morning...
Monday afternoon... my BIG girl got her ears pierced!
Maddie decided on Sunday that she wanted to get her ears pierced. The Claire's in Burleson only had one person working, and I was afraid if they did one at a time, she would only get one. We decided to wait until Monday because there were 2 people working from 4:30-5:30. Maddie was so excited about getting her ears pierced. I forgot that we had a faculty meeting after school, and it wasn't over until 5:00. There was no way to make it to Burleson in time. So, I called every Claire's around...the only one with 2 people was in Weatherford. She was pretty nervous after we got there, but she went through with it. I had to hold her on my lap and try to hold her still. She cried at first, but it was better within a couple of minutes. She was so excited and proud of herself by the time we left...proud owners of earrings, a Hannah Montana wig, and a Hannah Montana purse. Whatever it takes!

I think they are just friends now!
Well, I'm glad to see that Maddie has the "just friends" thing down at such an early age! I think I'm still struggling with it?!:)
