On Sunday afternoon, we went to Arlington for lunch at Double Dave's...long way to drive just for pizza, but it is good pizza! On our way home, we stopped at Dave & Buster's. The girls had a blast...even though most of the games were too old for them. Their favorite game was this Apple Basket one...

We earned about enough tickets to get them each a piece of candy...which they did not understand at all! They wanted those big stuffed animals!! One of my students from last year happened to be there too... he is a WONDERFUL kid and has a WONDERFUL family! We had chatted a couple of times in there while they were playing, and he just happened to come in the little ticket store while we were in there. He had earned 3,200 tickets! After he looked around in there for a little bit, he brought his card to us and gave us all 3,200 tickets!! I told him no, but he insisted...he said it was more fun to win them than spend them...keep in mind this is coming from a 5th grade boy! The girls both picked out small stuffed animals and then I returned the card to his mom (with a little over 2,700 tickets left on it). What a GREAT kid!! I wish I would have taken a picture of the girls with their bears... thanks Brady and family!
