Nonnie met her friend Elizabeth in Waco to treat their granddaughters with a fun hotel stay... I don't know what it is about hotels but the girls LOVE them. That is what they talk about the most on every trip. They didn't know or care that they were only 30 minutes away from Nonnie's house... kind-of crazy to stay at a hotel so close to home, but Nonnie knows what her girls like!
Popcorn and a Movie
(actually the movie was eaten by the DVD player in the room so they had to settle for some Hannah Montana)
Raelee (she is a couple of months younger than Kenzie), Maddie and Kenzie
The first thing they wanted to do at the hotel was go swimming of course! Elizabeth picked a hotel with an indoor pool so it wouldn't be so hot. The girls loved it!! Maddie wouldn't pose for a picture but here is Kenzie and Raelee. After a little swim, they headed for Red Lobster for dinner...the girls' favorite place!

The sad thing is... they probably knew where they were going better than the grandmas!
The zoo trip was pretty short because of the heat, but they got some fun things at the gift shop.After the zoo, they went back to Lion's Park. They went the night before too, but Mom forgot her camera. I don't think they have updated this place at all in the last 25+ years. It looks the same as when we went as kids!
The girls had a great time with Nonnie and I am SO PROUD of my mother for remembering her camera AND actually taking pictures!!

Ok, couple of things:
1. You're right, I don't know what it is, but when you're little hotel stays are SO fun no matter where they are!
2. Maddie's hair is really cute - when did she get it cut?
3. I too am SO proud of Nonnie for bringing the camera and taking the pictures!!! Good work.
4. Such memories coming back with the thoughts of Lions Park! Putt-putt anyone?!:)
Maddie has gotten a couple of haircuts lately... not sure if I like it that short or not.
