Splash Station

Maddie's first time on the diving board (without someone in the pool to get her.) She saw Jacey and her friend jumping off the diving board and she wanted to try it too. I tried and tried to talk her out of it, but she insisted. I knew she could swim, but she is usually in water she can touch in or I am right there with her. I kept telling her you have to swim as soon as you come up. I was a nervous wreck, but she did great!! I was ready to throw my camera and jump in if needed!

She kept going back to do it again... front flips, cannon balls and just jumps. She was swimming so good at first, but by the end of the afternoon she was dog-paddling to the side. I had to make her stop and rest, or she would have kept going.

Little cutie pie! She loves this little frog life jacket!! We have a tub full of life jackets that she won't wear, but she will wear this... She has gotten so brave since last year. She will go by herself around the lazy river just a kickin' those legs!
