After the emergency room...
This morning...
Last night Maddie had to get 2 stitches in her lip. She was playing with Brent while I was helping unpack things at their new house. He threw a piece of pvc pipe and accidentally hit Maddie in the face. It looked much worse when we first saw her...blood was all over her face. It was pretty scary!! The doctor was SO NICE and great with her. Maddie did great the whole time we were in there...she laid on the bed so still and calm. (It helped that her eyes were covered when they brought out that big needle!! I needed a washcloth for my eyes too!) He doesn't think it will leave a scar, but might take a year or two to completely go away.
She is hanging out in my room today...not sure if she wants to go to class or not. She still has perfect attendance so I'll have to send her down there for a little bit anyway!!

OMGosh! Bless her heart. And poor Brent...I bet he felt so bad?! Sounds like she was a real trooper - and glad that mom lived through it as well...:)
I hope she can keep up her perfect attendance!

Poor sweet girl... maybe it's something about Kinder... Seth got 4 staples in his head earlier this year. Hope Maddie is feeling better!
